Brea, Calif. - August 16, 2013 / ‐‐ AKiTiO, a leading manufacturer of Thunderbolt and Cloud storage solutions, announced today that the AKiTiO Neutrino Thunder D3 with Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 has received certification for both Mac and Windows PC’s. The Thunder D3, with incredible speeds of over 770MB/second, will be available in September.
The two-bay unit was designed to hold two 2.5” hard drives or SSD’s with a drive height of up to 15mm. This enables the Thunder D3 to hold drives that many other 2.5” form factor enclosures cannot. The Thunder D3 is also extremely compact and portable and features two removable drive trays for easy installation and removal of drives.

The new Thunder D3 now joins a growing list of Thunderbolt products from AKiTiO including the one bay, bus-powered Neutrino Thunderbolt Edition and the two-bay Thunder Duo with two Thunderbolt ports.
The Thunder D3 will be available in capacities up to 4TB. As with other AKiTiO products, the Thunder D3 will be available at AKiTiO.com, Amazon.com and at other online and retail outlets throughout the world.
