[Neutrino Thunder Duo] When does the fan turn off?

The fan in the Neutrino Thunder Duo turns off when a) the computer goes into sleep mode and b) when holding the power button on the Neutrino for 2 seconds to turn off the power to the drives. When the power is turned off by pressing the power switch, the Thunderbolt daisy chain remains operational.
