AKiTiO Thunder3 PCIe Box

As of November 8, 2018, the AKiTiO Thunder3 PCIe Box has been discontinued and this model is no longer being manufactured, sold or maintained.

The AKiTiO Thunder3 PCIe Box was a Thunderbolt™ 3 PCIe expansion box that provided an additional PCIe slot for Thunderbolt 3 computers (e.g. laptop computers) where installing an internal expansion card is not an option and for systems where there is not enough space for more PCIe cards.

The closest alternative is the OWC Mercury Helios 3S.

NT2 U3.1

As of September 1, 2018, the NT2 U3.1 has been discontinued and this model is no longer being manufactured, sold or maintained.

The NT2 U3.1 was a dual-bay RAID storage enclosures with a screwless design to easily install and replace up to two 3.5" hard disk drives. The hardware RAID controller supports Non-RAID, RAID 0 and RAID 1. It features a SuperSpeed 10Gbps (USB 3.1 Gen 2) connection.

This model has been replaced by the NT2 U31C, which utilizes a USB-C connector and a different kind of RAID switch. The NT2 U31C has also been designed for two 3.5" drives and comes with a built-in hardware RAID controller supporting Non-RAID, RAID 0 and RAID 1.

SK-3501 Super-S3

As of May 25, 2018, the SK-3501 Super-S3 has been discontinued and this model is no longer being manufactured, sold or maintained.

The SK-3501 Super-S3 was a storage enclosure designed for one 3.5" SATA HDD with multiple interfaces, including FireWire 800, eSATA and USB 3.0.

This model has been replaced by the SK-3501 U3.1, which is using just a single SuperSpeed USB 10Gbps (USB 3.1 Gen 2) interface.

AKiTiO Thunder2 Duo Pro

As of April 24, 2018, the AKiTiO Thunder2 Duo Pro has been discontinued and this model is no longer being manufactured, sold or maintained.

The AKiTiO Thunder2 Duo Pro was a RAID storage enclosure with HDMI video output and a dual Thunderbolt 2 and USB 3.0 interface. It could house two 2.5" or 3.5" SATA drives.

This model has been replaced by the Thunder3 RAID Station, which is using a Thunderbolt 3 interface and offers several additional features of a docking station.

MyCloud Duo

As of January 24, 2018, the MyCloud Duo has been discontinued and this model is no longer being manufactured, sold or maintained.

The MyCloud Duo was a dual-bay network drive with built-in UPnP-AV media server designed for two 3.5" SATA hard disk drives. The MyCloud software made this NAS an easy device to setup an use as a personal cloud server at home and for remote access.

There is no new version or alternative available for this particular model.
