Neutrino Thunderbolt

Read More...

Neutrino U3+

For those of us who wish to purchase the exact hard drive of our choice without sacrificing quality and performance, AKiTiO has created the Neutrino U3 external enclosure. Using aluminum instead of plastic is a welcome feature, especially when a lot of new computers are shipping in aluminum or poly-carbonate uni-bodies these days. This level of quality not only looks nice, but it also helps with long term durability. What’s special about this case is the full list of connectivity options it supports, along with all the necessary cables. Read More...

Cloud Hybrid

It's nice to be versatile, and the $105 AKiTiO Cloud Hybrid is just that. You can use this single-bay drive box either for network-attached storage (NAS) via the unit's ethernet jack, or for direct-attached storage (DAS) on a PC or Mac via the box's USB 3.0 port. Read More...

Neutrino U3+

The Neutrino U3+ is one of the better enclosures that we've had a chance to check out, offering a wide range of connection options to maximize potential throughput on Mac and Windows computers. As we noted earlier, the USB 3.0 connection is best suited to 7200rpm drives to stretch beyond FireWire performance, but the enclosure still works just fine with a slower disk.

Neutrino U3+

Also the Neutino U3+ is made from aluminum which again there are countless enclosures on the market which are also made from the same material, but very few if any are designed with heat dissipation veins to assist with pulling the heat away from the enclosure in order to keep the hard drive cooler and extending the life of the drive. NT2 U3

So we are basically talking about a very fast, small and rather low-cost dual bay USB 3.0 RAID Enclosure and since numbers don't lie there's really not much to add. Bottom line if you are looking to get such an enclosure then look no more (at least something better finds its way onto our test bench) since i doubt there's something faster at this moment in time and that's also why the NT2U3 USB 3.0 Dual Bay RAID Enclosure gets our Platinum Award. Cloud Hybrid

The coolest part of the Cloud Hybrid is having the ability to stream digital content to your phone or tablet device. I personally hate synching up my iPhone and iPad to my desktop. It’s just such a cumbersome process. All you need is the free mobile app (iPhone, iPad and Android apps available) to fire up the connection. You can access the network drive from a web browser (at MyAKiTiO.com), local network or remotely. Read More...

Neutrino U3+

The benefit of this enclosure case is its beauty. It just looks great. Although the performance of the drive will vary with the type of bare drive that you choose to put into the case, the option of USB 3.0 and FW800 (9pin) will make moving forward with this enclosure easy. It's well designed and sturdy - providing good seating for your drive, and adequate screws to secure the case once closed. It’s easy enough to turn any 2.5″ drive into a portable USB/Firewire hard drive. All it requires is a bit of light screwdriving. Read More...
